SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP

Semi Permanent Make-Up (also referred to as Micropigmentation) is a procedure carried out on the skin that introduces hypoallergenic pigments into the area for added definition and contouring.  Pigments are placed into the skin and the finished results enhance and define the natural features of your face.
Micropigmentation is a procedure that has been widely used by both men and women alike, and the results provide a variety of cosmetic enhancements dependant on the individual’s requirements.  Semi Permanent Make-Up can also aid the appearance of some medical conditions (please view ‘Reasons for SPM’ page).  The end results have a positive effect of camouflaging affected areas and raise the individuals’ self esteem.
Semi Permanent Make-Up can be a very attractive concept for both men and women who want to look their best naturally without having the inconvenience of running and smudging make-up at the end of the day.

How long does it last?

Semi Permanent Make-Up, dependant upon your lifestyle, age and skin type, can last between 3 and 5 years.
Some lifestyle choices can reduce the length of time pigments remain in the skin such as:

  • High/Moderate Sun Exposure
  • Chlorine in Swimming Pools
  • Exfoliation Treatments & the frequency of their application
  • Oily Skin – Pigments Tend to Last Longer on Normal/Dry Skin Types
    • Having the procedure repeated is not a problem and can easily be performed by the original therapist.  This would incur the same fee applicable as that of the first procedure providing that a full 6 month period has elapsed. 
    Top-up pigments are only available for the first 6 months and cannot be unlimitedly repeated.
